Navapad Oli - Jain festival observance
Navapad Oli (also called Ayambil Oli) is observed twice a year — in Ashwin and Chaitra months. For nine days, practitioners eat only Ayambil (tasteless, boiled food without oil, spices, or seasoning) once a day. Each day is dedicated to one of the nine supreme padas: Arihant, Siddha, Acharya, Upadhyay, Sadhu, Samyak Darshan, Samyak Gyan, Samyak Charitra, and Samyak Tapa.
It purifies the body and mind through simple eating while deepening devotion to the nine supreme elements of Jain philosophy.
