Paryushan Parv - Jain festival observance
Paryushan (meaning "abiding" or "coming together") is the most significant Jain festival, lasting 8 days for Shwetambars and 10 days (Das Lakshan) for Digambars. It is a time for intense spiritual practice, fasting, attending pravachans, and seeking forgiveness from all living beings.
Paryushan is the ultimate festival of self-purification. The practice of universal forgiveness on the final day is one of the most beautiful traditions in any religion.
