Panchamrit Abhishek - Jain worship ritual

Panchamrit Abhishek is a Shwetambar ritual of bathing the Tirthankara idol with five sacred substances (Panchamrit): milk, curd (yogurt), ghee (clarified butter), sugar, and water. Each substance represents a spiritual quality and the ritual purifies both the idol and the devotee's mind.

Each of the five substances symbolises purity, devotion, and the aspiration to cleanse the soul of karmic impurities.
