Samayik - Jain daily practice
Samayik is a practice of achieving equanimity (samata) by sitting in a calm place for 48 minutes (one muhurt). During this time, a practitioner withdraws from worldly activities and focuses on the true nature of the self through meditation, scripture reading, or silent contemplation.
Samayik trains the mind in detachment and self-awareness. Regular practice reduces anger, greed, and ego, bringing the practitioner closer to the soul's true nature.
