Kayotsarga - Jain daily practice
Kayotsarga literally means "abandoning the body." It is a meditation practice where one stands or sits motionless, releasing attachment to the physical body and focusing entirely on the soul. Lord Bahubali is depicted in this posture — standing so still that vines grew around him.
Kayotsarga is the highest form of meditation in Jainism. It detaches the practitioner from bodily consciousness and leads towards self-realisation.
