The Chaturvimshati Stava — seven Prakrit verses saluting all twenty-four Tirthankaras by name, recited in Samayik and in every Pratikraman. Also called chauvisattho. (1) I will praise the illuminators of the world, the founders of the dharma-ford, the Jinas, the Arihants — all twenty-four omniscient ones. (2-4) name each in turn, from Rishabh and Ajit through Parshva and Vardhaman (Mahavir). (5) Thus praised by me, the twenty-four excellent Jinas, freed of the dust and dirt of karma and rid of old age and death — may these Tirthankaras be gracious to me. (6) Those praised, bowed to and honoured, the supreme Siddhas of this world: may they grant health, right insight, and the best of excellent equanimity. (7) Purer than the moons, more radiant than the suns, deep as the great ocean — may the Siddhas grant me liberation.
